@motorhype Hi, even though WPForo may modify the email that is sent to the administrators when new users register, I believe those are sent by WordPress, not by WPForo.

If you wish to disable those, you need to use a plugin such as "Better WordPress Notifications" which allows you to modify/disable/enable etc any of the WP Notifications, you can even create custom ones.

Regards

Hi @motorhype,

Please navigate to Dashboard > Forums > Settings  > Emails Tab and find the email template you want and modify. But the corresponding email overwriting option should be enabled:

@robert I have disabled the new user registration email but it's still coming through?

It's defiantly coming from WP Foro because the URL: https://www.**** .co.uk/forums/?foro=resetpassword&rp_key=djST6tlrXzv5WVRtXzvp&rp_login=*

Email Subject: [*] Login Details

Body: Username: *

To set your password, visit the following address:

https://www. *.co.uk/forums/?foro=resetpassword&rp_key=djST6tlrXzv5WVRtXzvp&rp_login=*

https://www. ****.co.uk/wp-login.php

@motorhype,

There ware two emails, one is sent to admins, second is sent to the new user. So you should understand which one you're getting.

There is no way to disable that email from wpForo. That email comes from WordPress core. wpForo doesn't send user registration emails.

If it doesn't come from wpForo, why does the email stop when I disable wpForo?

@robert

Also the reason I'm trying to disable this email is because I already receive the main registration email from Wordpress so it's a bit annoying have 2 emails registration emails come through.

@motorhype As Robert replied, WHAT of the two emails are you reffering to? Who is geting two emails? The admin? The user?

@motorhype So why disable login details for the new user?

It is unclear what you issue is. Is the user geting TWO SAME emails?

Yes there are 2 emails when a users signs up, first email is confirm email address and 2nd is set password email from wpforo.

The password has already been created, when the user signs up they input there password so there is no need for the second email.

Thanks

Just to confirm, I have just disabled wpforo again and the email has stopped when a new user signs up to the website. There must be a way of disabling this email?

We are making circles here. It doesn't come from wpForo and wpForo doesn't SET ANY PASSWORDS.

All those come from Wordpress core or some other plugin you may have.

When a new user signs in, one email is send to the admin and one to the user to set his password.

@motorhype,

Try this plugin: https://wordpress.org/plugins/manage-notification-emails/

For further support please open a new support topic in WordPress forum.

wpForo doesn't have any relation to this issue.
