Great Products 🙂

We prefer if possible, to simply: Display All Times Using 24 Hour Clock

(NOTE: We recently purchased 3 AddOns - is this the correct place to post this question?)

Please Advise...

Hi @soft-designs,

We prefer if possible, to simply: Display All Times Using 24 Hour Clock.

I'm sorry but I don't follow you well. Please try to explain in other words, or by using some screenshots.

(NOTE: We recently purchased 3 AddOns - is this the correct place to post this question?)

As far as I know, we purchased the wpDiscuz addons? If yes and your question related to the add-ons, then please open a support topic in the gVectores.com support forum in the corresponding forum. Screenshot below:

Hi - This question about 24 hour clock is not exactly related to our recently purchased AddOns, so we will ask the question here in this forum:

Let me try to explain further:  Using wpForo - We prefer not require end-user to change their "Timezone" settings.  Instead, we prefer simply to set wpForo to show all times using 24 hour clock.

For Example - Currently wpForo shows end-user times like: 2:00pm or 7pm

Can we change the setting of wpForo to show 24 hour clock, and show end-user times like:  14:00 or 19:00 ?

@soft-designs

Isn't that a WordPress setting as opposed to a wpForo setting?

Hi @soft-designs,

The time on posts is it depends on the timezone user selects in His/Her Profile > Account page.

The default timezone is based on the WordPress timezone. You can set the WordPress timezone in Dashboard > Settings > General admin page.

After each change of timezone, if you want to see the difference immediately, you should delete the WordPress cache (if you have a cache plugin), then go to Dashboard > Forums > Dashboard and delete wpForo cache clicking the [Delete All Cache] button.

I think @soft-designs is not referring to the time-zone. I think they are referring to the time format.

For example, rather than a post being shown as posted at "2:35 pm" they would like it to be shown as "14:35".

@soft-designs I just checked, this is a combination of a WordPress setting (found in WordPress Dashboard -> Settings -> General -> Time format) and a wpForo setting (found in Forum Dashboard -> Settings -> Features -> Enable WordPress Date/Time Format).

I attach a screenshot for both settings that do what you want.

@fawp - Yes, you are correct.  Your advice above regarding "Time-Format" is what we hope to achieve.

On the front-end of many systems these days, lots of confusion over our various time zones can be quickly solved, if we simply use 24hour clock format to show end-users.

I will study these settings you mentioned above, it looks promising, many thanks 🙂

We are brand new to wpForo, but so far, this looks like one of the best WP forum plugins on the market.

Great Product, Great Support...

thanks,
