 We use custom fields for posts (via Custom Post Fields add on) and user would like a direct link to the "advanced search" without actually doing a search first.

Hi @mmlitvin,

You can create a Menu Link or Add wpForo Search Widget with a CSS Code, so you would have a Search Menu Link or a Search button on the Sidebar.

Correct me if I am wrong but in the cases you mentioned I still have to initiate the search FIRST and only then I have access to Advanced search panel

@mmlitvin,

Yes, you cannot set the advanced search in wpForo home, It's not only about ability to move it in Homepage, it's also about the UI UX.
So the best way is to use one of the Options I provided to enter the Advanced Search page.
