I understand that the concept of "boards" allows for two or more forums to be operated on a single WordPress site. If there are boards named "A," "B," and "C," if a member joins one of them, they're automatically registered for the others, right?
How can I require separate registration for a specific board even if they're already registered for another board, or how can I restrict membership for a specific board altogether?
Hi,
There is no way to create separate registrations for each board. User registration and account creation are handled by WordPress, not wpForo.
In this case, you can restrict the content of forums B and C for certain user groups using the Forum Permissions options. Please read this FAQ carefully: https://wpforo.com/community/faq/wordpress-user-roles-wpforo-usergroups-and-forum-accesses/#post-39664
Let me introduce you to the method I devised : First, create a new page. At this time, only [wpforo] is entered in the content and the title is left blank. The page is set to administrator disclosure or password access. Then, a number is created in the page slug (address). Go to WPFORO → Board → Edit that board and enter it in the ID column. This will then be accessible exclusively to managers or only to those with passwords. It is useful when creating a personal forum that only I, the manager, can see.
