I'm being stupid this morning.

Can't find where to change allowed image size? I did it via the settings of width and height, but it still say image exceeds 1 mb not allowed. I've been through just about everything. FYI my php size is 4mb so that's not it.

It's set 2MB, I think your file is more than 2MB. I'd recommend change max uploaded size to 8MB and set this option to 4MB. Also make sure your hosting service disk space is not full.
