So that didn't help. I tried to delete and re load. This is what I got (see attached).

Our servers have the MyISAM database storage engine so we suggest you get in contact with the plugin provider and ask them if they can replace the DB engine settings in the plugin's config file and set it to MyISAM instead of InnoDB.
As I see in the screenshot provided by you, there is a problem in the Database, so please click on the "Solve database problems" button and check again.

wpForo works fine with the InnoDB database tables, it works fine with large databases too. However, you can change it to MyISAM. Here an instruction How to change the database engine of a MySQL database table.
Please backup all tables before this manipulation:
- wp_wpforo_forums
- wp_wpforo_posts
- wp_wpforo_topics
- wp_wpforo_profiles
- wp_wpforo_views
