Hi I use memberpress to control the subscriptions to my site.  Having the profiles setup that you have is great.  I have setup multiple forums and would like to be able to put them on the menu system.  Is there a way to do this easily?

Hi @blenkhn,

You can add wpForo Profile menus in any menu you want. You should use Custom URL menu type, and put wpForo Menu Shortocdes in URL field.

  • My Profile: /%wpforo-profile-home%/
  • Activity: /%wpforo-profile-activity%/
  • Account: /%wpforo-profile-account%/
  • Subscriptions: /%wpforo-profile-subscriptions%/

Please see the documentation: https://wpforo.com/docs/root/getting-started/forum-menu/

Hi,

Thanks for the quick response, not quite was I was looking for.  I have  15 different main forums with specific access to each of them I would like to build a menu item for each of them, so that they don't necessarily see them all.  If they do see them, they won't be able to post or see them right?

@blenkhn,

There is no way to check permissions in menus. So all menus will be available for all users. You can hide menus based on current user permissions.

@blenkhn

You should use Custom Link menu type. There is no other way:

BTW, you can change your forum layouts if you need to show all forums

These two layouts are good for that purpose:

Simplified: https://wpforo.com/docs/categories-and-forums/forum-layouts/simplified-layout/

Extended: https://wpforo.com/docs/categories-and-forums/forum-layouts/extended-layout/

I do not want to show all of my forums all at once.  I only want to show the forums that are pertenant to that person.  Only if they are enrolled into that forum.

@blenkhn,

That already mentioned by Martin above. There is no way to create a menu of forums based on current user  permissions. So you can't do that. I'm really sorry but menus are out of wpForo forum permission control.
