Hi,

A client of ours using wpforo has a problem with the URL they use to view topics with no replies.

`/forum/recent/?view=no-replies`

I see an old topic was opened about this: https://wpforo.com/community/how-to-and-troubleshooting-2/not-replied-topics/

I have checked and they have this fix in place with their version of wpforo 1.6.1, I also know there is a version 1.9.6 out now and I have already installed this on a local copy of their website, this still has the same issue where topics which do have replies are still showing.

I would of applied the update to their site to test there but a bit of modification was done to templates for styling etc which are broken by just updating the plugin which I will have to action when I have more time.

Has anyone reported similar issues or is there a known issue surrounding this or something I can look into to trouble shoot this further?

Any help would be appreciated.

Also I know the go to answer will be "update the plugin" but I have done this locally and as I said its still showing topics which have replies.

Please note, that this has some logic. If a topic is not replied from other users, it's still considered as not replied. So if a topic has 3 replies from the topic author, it's still not a replied topic. So it doesn't matter the topic has replies or not, it does meter who has left replies. The topic owner replies are not counted, and the topic is still not-replied topic.

Thanks for confirming the logic their Robert, however this isn't what's happening.

At this URL you will see that many of the topics being shown have replies from multiple users:

@sc89me,

You can check it here: https://wpforo.com/community/recent/?view=no-replies

As you can see, it works fine. This is a forum specific issue, something is wrong with the database data or this is an old cache. Please update to the latest 1.9.7 version and delete wpForo cache in Dashboard > Forums > Dashboard admin page.

@robert Resurrecting this old topic because this is still a problem.

We have updated the forum to 1.9.9.1

https://www.gamcare.org.uk/forum/recent/?view=no-replies

Still shows a bunch of topics which have replies, the cache has been cleared.

This took a long time to update as the forum is heavily used and the admins took a while to get around to approving the updates etc for go live plus the modifications we did had to be ported over.

(the modifications are around the login, password reset, registration custom pages not the forum itself, making them work with the latest version was far more problematic than in version 1.6.1)

Hi @sc89me,

Had you done any customization on wp-content/plugins/wpforo/wpf-themes/classic/recent.php file?

@chris

Yeah you appear to be right, I have put those updates over as well now. Sorry about that I think we modified this template to add an additional column to one of the views and I forgot.

This is probably it though, were getting this tested, thanks for pointing me at the right place.

(different path in the sage roots theme we have, but customised template file 👍🏻)
