Hello,

I just saw that WPforo using the permalinks "/% postname% /" had forced the WP settings that were "article name". The whole site is now in "/% postname% /".

To keep "article name" for all the rest of my site, is there an alternative other than creating a subdomain or another domain dedicated to the forum?

Thank's for your help
Best regards

What do you mean "article name" ? Custom Structure has nothing like that.

Where was that set ?

Ok, this is the one i use also. But i don't follow what you try to say. I don't get what the problem is. I don't see any problems related.

Can you post a url ?

@tara974,

wpForo doesn't use the exact permalink settings you configure in WordPress. It just ask to set some SEO permalink, it cannot work with the default ?p=1 permalink structure. So just set what permalink you want and wpForo will be happy. wpForo is a SEO friendly plugin and requires SEO friendly URLs, the old ?p=1 structure cannot be used with wpForo.

Hi Robert,

yes I understand

It's normal that the plugin uses the structure "% postname%" for the forum

But I wanted that the other pages and articles of the site (excluding forum) remain with the wordpress parameter:
www.domaine.com/name-of-article

and not www.domain.com/rubrique/gardens/P18/name-od-article

This is not something wpForo does, it comes from your WP permalinks structure OR possibly from some other plugin ?

If you want you should have it. wpForo doesn't have any relation to this. Please don't search this issue in wpForo.
