I have read about how to limit access to entire Forums, but is there a way to only allow specific user groups the ability to comment on specific topics.

Example:

User Groups: A) Sellers ,  B) Customer

Topic - Only Sellers

I want all customers to be able to view the forum, but only have Sellers be able to comment on this topic "Only Sellers"

I am going to use Restrict Content Pro to assign members to the Sellers usergroup.  Then would like for sellers to be able to post in the Only Sellers Topic the items they are selling.  I do not want customers to be posting their own items.

Thank you for all of your expertise

Dave

Hi,

You can manage this by adjusting the "Can post reply" permission in the Forum Access settings. Therefore, you'll need to create two separate forum accesses for those usergroups.

Additionally, the FAQ should provide further insight into wpForo Usergroups, Forum Accesses, and WordPress User Roles. Please review it carefully: https://wpforo.com/community/faq/wordpress-user-roles-wpforo-usergroups-and-forum-accesses/#post-39664

Hello Sofy,

Thank you for your reply and I have gone back through the link you provided.  I think I should rephrase my questions to: Is there a way to stop a usergroup from posting in just one topic?

@daveh,

You need to locate the topic within the forum that has restricted access. Only one topic does not have usergroup restrictions.
