 Hello, I have installed wpforo and woocommerce membership (maybe this is relevant), and I have some users that aren't able to post, they get an error as if they do not have the permission to do it. This users have purchased a membership and they are currently subscribed to it. Also, another thing I noticed is that I couldn't find them in the members tab when I search for them.

The thing that is concerning me is that, when I search them in wpforo members, most (if not all) of them have a "default" Group... I don't understand why. Could be that the issue? why is this happening?

I really appreciate a quick response, I have an active forum and it's bugs constantly. Thank you!

Hi,

Firstly, please check the "Display on Members List" checkbox in Dashboard > Forums > Usergroups. Edit each Usergroup one by one.

Also, please check this FAQ to make sure you’ve configured the permissions correctly: https://wpforo.com/community/faq/wordpress-user-roles-wpforo-usergroups-and-forum-accesses/#post-39664

@sofy Hi, I've checked the usergroups, most of them but the guest one have this display option enabled, I think the issue is that the users I cannot see in the member's list and arent able to interact with the forum have a "default" user group like if they didn't have a user group assigned. Why this happens? will I have to change their user group one by one so they can interact in the forum?

I wait for your response 🙂

@sofy Could this users have "default" user group because they have been created before the instalation of wpforo?

@minimumcapitain

Could you please check the user Role-Usergroup Synchronization.

For more information, please read this documentation: https://wpforo.com/docs/wpforo-v2/settings/login-registration/#role-usergroup-synchronization

@sofy Thank you, I already read the article and it helped me to resolve the issue, but I want to understand why the users aren't assigned automatically a usergroup, and instead they get the "default" one.

@minimumcapitain

Probably the "Role-Usergroup Synchronization" option was not enabled. You should keep enabled this option to sync WordPress User Roles with Forum Usergroups.

@sofy actually I was going to do that I just couldn´t figure how to start a new support topic.
But maybe you wanne know how I was able to fix it, took me half a day and a ki before I figured it. I was running WP Optimize and WP Fastest Cache. everything was fine until I Asked WP Optimize to optimize, after that WP Optimize and WP Fastest Cache clashed. After I deinstalled WP Optimze everything worked fine again. So it wasn´t your forum but two plugins which caused my trouble with not be able to post anymore
