The wpForo Support forum doesn't seem to do this so I'm assuming this is some sort of problem on my end - I'm having this strange problem where the brief preview of the topic content that is toggled and visible in the topics list, which is a link, sends me back to the category section instead of sending me into the topic itself. It seems like a simple error with the link direction.. but I can't think of a way I can fix it. I've attached an img circling the link that I'm talking about.

unfortunately wpForo doesn't support forum and topic slugs with such languages. As far as know these are UTF-8 two-byte chars and slugs with this chars can't be rendered properly. We'll do our best to add such language support in next release.

I've decided to avoid this problem by using the simplified mode for the forum, which seems to disable that function itself, which is fine by me at the moment.
And for what it's worth, I'd just like to mention how cool your plugin is. It has really given my blog a much more cleaner and professional aspect. I've only just started exploring the plugin but DO feel that I will end up wanting to purchase some of your premium addons in the future. You seem to doing a fantastic job, keep it up!
