Hi

My whole site is 'ruined' as the wp foro plug in wont work probably and every time I activate it the screen is filled with error codes.  My site had been up a year and a half with a years worth of film reviews recipes etc.  My host providers tried to reload an old version but the wp foro plug in is making it impossible.  It says its looking for a table in the database that is no longer there - i have not removed it.  I tried removing wpforo and adding it back and it still filled the screen with error codes.  I need help urgently and older versions are not working.  I cannot activate my chat room plug in as it needs the member registrations that were made on wp foro.  Help!!

Hi @jibjabchat,

Please navigate to Dashboard > Forums > Tools > Debug admin page, copy the content of Server and Errors & Issues and paste in a .txt file then attach it here. Also, click on the Tables tab and use [Solve Database Problems] button if you see that.

Please post a capture of the errors when you do that and post it here.

@jibjabchat,

So how can we help you if you don't even provide those errors?

What was the trigger of that problem?

I think your database is crashed or you use old template files in the active WordPress theme. What version of wpForo you use? Have you read the Update note before updating it?

Important update notes

  • Some JS and CSS files are changed, please refresh (press Ctrl+F5) on forum front-end twice to reset browser cache, otherwise you'll see crashed design.
  • If you have a Cache or Minifier/Optimizer plugins please delete all caches after wpForo update.
  • If you use CDN and found some issue please purge it.
  • Forum template files are modified. The modifications were made in layout files to add "jump to unread post" functionality. Also, the header.php is modified and added User Notification Bell in the menu bar section. If you have an old customized copies of forum template files in your WP theme /wpforo/ folder please update those.

Here is the screenshot.  I didnt say I couldnt provide the errors.

There was no trigger, the plug in just suddenly rendered my site unusable.

I would appreciate your help and step by step instructions on how to repair the damage that this plug in has done if possible.

I would be very very grateful.
