Told you nothing? The MAX CONNECTIONS? The Out of Memory? The many warnings and notices?

I said told me nothing that really helped me mate, they of course told me things but anything they told me was no good to me otherwise the issue would be fixed!!!!

What in the debug can i do to improve the situation here? ANytime i mention the errors that say wpforo before them i get told that it is not wpforo??

The debug was open for 2 days mate and we couldnt find anything in there for me to fix other wise it would have been fixed and i would not still be getting issues.  As you said yesterday, im sick of gojng round in circles. I want this s**t fixed ASAP it has already gone on for too long and its stressing me out like f**k mate, I have had enough of it.

I need proper solutions and proper diagnosis to the problem, as far as I can see its the reactions that are slowing my site down a s**t load. After increasing the memory the database issues have stopped for now, so i am just fixing what i can until the errors have all gone, right now my issue is doing soething about the likes slowing down my site

@percysgrowroom,

wpForo 2.0.9 much lighter, if this issue is related to wpForo then it should be fixed. If the issue is not fixed then this comes from outside the plugin.

1. You have tons of myCRED badges on the list of posts. I think myCRED do lots of work to show one budge, but you have dozens under each user. So in 90% this is a myCRED issue. That's way nobody else has such problem.

2. I don't see any issue with the speed and with the database. In any case I'd recommend disabling some wpForo features:

  • Go to wpForo > Settings > Display Topics & Posts admin page and disable "Display Topic Statistics and Overview Panel" option.
  • In the same admin page, decrease the "Posts per Page" for all forum layouts to 7

Mu user very much like thier "bling" as they call it, is there a way they can keep it, but only have it show on thier profile pages rather than on each post?

Go to wpForo > Settings > Display Topics & Posts admin page and disable "Display Topic Statistics and Overview Panel" option.

I like thisfeat7ure, and would prefer to keep it, its one of the reason i moved up to 2.0, without it i may aswell go back to 1.0

I will try this... but i really don't want to reduce the features i have to get the forum to work properly,. I would like all the features and make changes ot my database and servers so it can handle these requests.

Is it coming to the point where my forum is too big to be on wpforo? I am sure wpforo can handle a forum of any size with all features and I would like to do what i can to give my users all available features and have a fast website.

You have tons of myCRED badges on the list of posts.

Also with the badges, after they have been cached they are no rpoblem with them as far as I can see, and they have never been an issues. The slow queries are mostly from the reactions

    1. wpforo\m\r\Reactions->_get_count()
      wp-content/plugins/wpforo/modules/reactions/Reactions.php:308
  • wpforo\classes\RamCache->call_user_func()
    wp-content/plugins/wpforo/classes/RamCache.php:98
  • wpforo_ram_get()
    wp-content/plugins/wpforo/includes/functions.php:2762
  • wpforo\m\r\Reactions->get_count()
    wp-content/plugins/wpforo/modules/reactions/Reactions.php:312
  • wpforo\m\r\Reactions->get_post_reactions_count()
    wp-content/plugins/wpforo/modules/reactions/Reactions.php:334
  • wpforo_post()
    wp-content/plugins/wpforo/includes/functions-template.php:284
  • wpforo_unread_url()
    wp-content/plugins/wpforo/includes/functions-template.php:1793
  • wpforo_topic_title()
    wp-content/plugins/wpforo/includes/functions-template.php:2258
  • wpforo_template()
    wp-content/plugins/wpforo/includes/functions-template.php:2033
  • wpforo\wpforo->{closure}()
    wp-content/plugins/wpforo/includes/hooks.php:220
  • do_shortcode_tag()
    wp-includes/shortcodes.php:356
  • preg_replace_callback()
    wp-includes/shortcodes.php:356
  • do_shortcode()
    wp-includes/shortcodes.php:228
  • apply_filters('the_content')
    wp-includes/plugin.php:191
  • the_content()
    wp-includes/post-template.php:253
  • load_template('wp-content/themes/generatepress/content-page.php')
    wp-includes/template.php:772
  • locate_template()
    wp-includes/template.php:716
  • get_template_part('content','page')
    wp-includes/general-template.php:204
  • generate_do_template_part()
    wp-content/themes/generatepress/inc/theme-functions.php:568

Each one adds around half a second to the load time. There more reactions there are since the last page load, the longer the page load will take. This is an issue that need to get fixed right now

It seems pretty obvious to me now that the only thing slowing down my site t this extent is the reactions. I will start a new thread to address this issue and get this resolved before moving on to any other issues.

Thanks for your help here everyone, the database issues seems to have stopped after increasing the memory to 16g, and increasing the maximum connections. Bu tthose connection could still be higher and I would like ot address that at some point.

But for now, I need ot find out and fix the likes issue and try to get them to a normal speed. Each like is causing a 0.6 second extra load time on my site, and that needs addressing first. That seems like the biggest issue i have right now

@percysgrowroom,

The cache of budges is being deleted very frequent. So it still takes tons of resources.

The "Display Topic Statistics and Overview Panel" can be disabled for a few days to see the difference.

This is also cached. I don't think the reactions can cause the problem.

wpForo us used on forums with millions of posts and dozens of thousands users. So wpForo is created for any size of forums. Your forum is too small to think about the size issue.

In any case, we can try to delete old reactions and leave only the reactions made during the last months. If it's ok then I can provide an SQL to delete the old ones.
