Hi Ben,
Adding a multi-usergroup feature and synchronizing forum usergroup with WordPress roles for membership plugins is a very big change in core. It requires more time and hard work than all other wpForo releases and features. This is not a quick task and may take 2-4 weeks minimum. We'll do our best to finish by end of this month, however I don't exclude a case that it may be released in the first half of next month.

As you can see during last two weeks we've released three non-planned versions 1.4.10, 1.4.12, 1.4.13. These were urgent security releases and these affected the 1.5.0 version release deadline. I'm sorry but I have no ETA yet. I'll update this topic once I got some news for you.
