Hello there,

Is reverse proxy server like Varnish affects how wpforo 2.X cache works?

I would like to use this for my website, but before i would like to know if wpforo is compatible.

Thx

The only thing that changed is that wpForo2 has its own internal FULL caching system. In wpForo 1 that caching was kind of DB/Object caching.

So i guess what suggestions were given in those topics from seatch, still are valid. Meaning wpForo2 page(s) should be excluded by ANY caching plugin or server cache.

I contacted my host and here is his answer:

"Unfortunately, there is no such exclusion on our side. The solution would otherwise be to place your forum on a subdomain instead of a subfolder so that it is not impacted by Varnish."

Is this solution possible according to you?

Why do you need varnish active?
