This is a multiple changing issue. If this is a new installation please delete both pages, then Uninstall wpForo (not just deactivate). Then install it again. Then create a new page "Home" (slug /site-home/). And set this page as front-page in Settings > Reading admin page. Don't make any changes with Forum page and Base URL. Also please make sure you don't have post or page with /community/ slug in Trashed section.

But I DONT want the forum to be the home page of my website!

the home page of my website should still be the "recent posts"

Then you should do nothing. Just install and find your forum under base URL. Remove the home page and reset the home page. I thought you want to make it on home.

@robert Hi Robert, I'm having the exact same issues as described above. The forum loads on to a page and looks great but it's not working properly, if you click any of the links it just navigates me to one of my other pages. I'm also getting the message (wpForo PageID doesn't exist. Forums will not be loaded, please read this)- I've followed all the instructions and that didn't seem to help either. Would you be able to help please as I'm new to all of this. Thanks, Ryan.

@alternative-media,

Please deactivate (not uninstall) then activate wpForo again. Then go to the Forums > Settings > General Tab and click the [update options] button. If the problem is not resolved just leave your forum URL to allow us check it.
