Hello,

I just installed the latest wpForo v1.7.7 on Debian. By checking whether everything is okay, I get a

wpForo phrases are missing!

error when I check into Tools->Debug.

Screenshot attached.

This is a brand new installation of wpForo, so there is no way that something happened to the phrases files.

I tried installing it from scratch multiple times but I keep getting this error.

Can you help?

Thanks

Hi @fawp,

Please navigate to the Table tab in the same admin page, click on the [Solve Database Problems] button, then deactivate wpForo and activate it again.

If the problem still exists, navigate to Dashboard > Forums > Dashboard admin page and click the [Rebuild Phrases] button.

Hi @robert

There was no [Solve Database Problems] button, and that page said "No problem found in database" (screenshot attached).

However rebuilding the phrases as you suggested worked 😀 .

Any idea as to what the original cause might have been?

Many thanks, I appreciate the support.

@fawp,

Thank you for letting me know!

I have no idea. Somehow your wp_wpforo_phrases table was empty. Now it's rebuilt and all is ok. I'm closing the topic.
