As part of my indexing, I didn't select our private forums... yet, when I search as a guest, it's showing me links and short summaries of those private threads. Obviously, when you click on the link, they can't access the link as guests, but why's it showing this?
Those are two, non-indexed forums showing the search result below... or at least, they were supposed to be and my admin panel shows me 9 unindexed forums which is correct. How can I check this or remove if they are indexed.

If the forum is not indexed yet, then it has no chance to show results from that topic.
Moreover, the AI search always filters the result besed on current user / guest permissions before showing it.
Could you please specify the wpForo version you're currently using, is that the latest version?
@robert I'm on 3.0.5. The two results shown above in my screen shot above are from private forums, so I'm perplexed how they can show in the results of they haven't been indexed...
Those are both mod forums, and they have been shown up in guest search results.

1. Are they private topics or a regular topics from a private forum?
2. Have you enabled Automatic Indexing of New Approved Topics setting in AI Content Indexing admin page?
3. Are you sure you don't have similar topics as public?
4. Have you tried to delete wpForo cache then search as Guest ?
5. Is this issue exist for guests or a regular user can also see that topics?
6. Have you done the content Indexing with the same version of wpForo or it was an old version?

Please update wpForo to 3.0.6 version, delete all caches in wpForo > Overview admin page, and test it again. if you still see such problem, please go to AI Content indexing tab, select the forum you are testing and click the [Delete Selected Forum index] button then in 1 minute re-index that forum and test it again.
Please make sure the forum you're testing has all necessary permission set for guests, I mean it should be "No Access" to prevent displaying search result from that forum to guests.
