I am really interested in this plugin.

Will the importer import attachments also? BBpress does not. What about their likes, xenforo media gallery, and resource manager? I wouldn't mind if this is a paid plugin if it has these features.

Hi sem,
The Go2wpForo tool is only designed for WP Forum plugins to wpForo migration. We do our best to improve this free migration tool as much as possible, however that's very hard to make migration tool for all kind and size of forums. This tool is designed for default forum components like «Forums», «Topics», «Posts», «Users». This will not migrate specific data like «PMs», «Likes», «Polls», «User Reputation», etc... So if you found some issue with default components migration, please open a support topic in our support forum. We'll try to help you.
For deeper support and for extra data(component) migration you should contact to gVectors Team specialists at https://gvectors.com/contact-us/ . They provide with paid migration services from all WordPress forum plugins to wpForo.
If you need stand-alone forum to wpForo migration, e.g.: vBulletin, XenForo, phpBB, etc... we recommend ProfProjects Migration Services. We've already instructed all specialists of this company for wpForo migration projects, they are our trusted partners.

In case you want to say thank you !)
We'd really appreciate and be thankful if you leave a good review on plugin page. This is the best way to say thank you to this project and support team.

Thanks for clarifying.

I am okay if PMs, Likes, Polls and user reputation are not imported.

Will WPforo's importer import posts along with the images attached in them from Xenforo?

Thanks.

The PMs, Likes, Polls and user reputation import issues related to WordPress Plugins not to Stand-Alone forums. We're working on Go2wpForo to add all forums, but the Stand-Alone forums will be added after all popular WordPress forum plugins, maybe next month. So if you need an urgent migration you should use the company services mentioned above .

I'm sorry but had no chance to find time for this yet. wpForo is under active development and we spend our time on essential wpForo features, performance and security. We'll take a look on migration options after 1.5.x release.

Currently you can check one of these paid options:

http://profprojects.com/migrate-xenforo-to-wpforo/

jdickson20, you can try next chain:

1. Install bbPress
2. Convert your XenForo to bbPress using bbPress migration tool.
3. Install wpForo and wpForo migration tool
4. Convert bbPress to wpForo
5. Delete bbPress

Done.

Thanks for the replies. I *really* want to install wpForo and replace my xenforo message board. This will save me from using a bridge for logins between my message boards and WP membership system. Great work on wpForo!

Its not that easy unless you dont care about losing all your google rankings and traffic

You need to:

xenforo --> bbPress
bbPress --> wpForo

Map all old xenForo url's to new wpForo urls using a 301 redirect, or kiss all your google traffic goodbye.

Full 301 redirection of all XenForo URLs to wpForo is also included in the services mentioned above so it's also possible.

In any case (even w/o redirection) wpForo is very SEO friendly and it's being indexed by Google very fast, so the new wpForo forum will be included in Google Search result within 1-2 weeks.

The "how fast" a post or topic (or blog post) will be available in google index is a matter of how your site ranks (or not).

In high rank sites, a new post is indexed almost within minutes. wpForo only needs to be basic seo friendly (and it is).

For example: In this forum here, this topic:

https://wpforo.com/community/how-to-and-troubleshooting/can-i-do-it/

was indexed in 12 hours after posted and that is NOT BAD AT ALL. It seems Google likes this forum.
