"Forum Base URL" is incorrect,
it has the wordpress installation path in it and I can't change it.

I-apparently solved my problem by disabling wpforo then activate it again ...
But it tells me that in the administration:
IMPORTANT: wpForo can not work with default permalink, please change permalink structure

wpForo doesn't support ?p=1 URL structure. I'm sorry but you can not use wpForo, until we add this function. But it'll be in 2.x versions.
?p=1 is not a SEO friendly URLs, you should not use this if you care about your website SEO rank. Yes, you'll loose all indexed pages in google, but the new indexed pages' SEO rank will be higher. Google will re-index your website within 7-10 days. There will not be 404 errors because WordPress automatically redirects ?=1 to according permalink.

You don't need to use 1.0.0. This is a simple misconfiguration issue. Just navigate to wpForo Settings page and make sure the forum base URL slug is identical with your forum page slug. Then check Forum Page ID and the ID diesplied on wpForo Settings Page.
Also navigate to Forums > Settings > Features and enable the option called "Enable Output Buffer".
