I Have a Q&A forum and I'm trying to get an automated answer on every new topic that somebody makes. This is handled by ChatGPT API. I made a script but and it uses the API correctly, but I can't get it to post an answer.

Can somebody help?

I'd suggest you use Gemini Pro to run your issue through.. I've coded extensively with Gemini and the work it can do is amazing. It has made quite a few massive modifications to the way my wpForo works. For posting your replies, I'd have a user in your WP users that is for posting these replies and use direct DB interactions.. it's also possible to use the WPFORO hooks but when it comes to some things, direct DB inserts are better. Again, Gemini is VERy  good with these sorts of advance customizations.  I know this is a bit late but I was just working on something very similar as I have integrated AI into quite a bit of the wpforo environment.

Hi,

I'm sorry, but the wpForo doesn't have such a feature.

I'd recommend purchasing pro support and reaching out to the support team for integration: https://wpforo.com/pro-support/#plugin-support

Wpforo 3.0 is coming soon and it will have AI integration. I think you would be better off waiting for that

Hi @mars ,

For a bot to answer topics and posts effectively, the AI needs proper context from your forum. If the AI responds using only its general knowledge, the answers will be very generic. I don't know what type of forum you're running, but if you have specific content that the AI should be aware of, you'll need a deeper solution rather than a simple ChatGPT API call.

We are preparing the wpForo 3.0 AI Edition release, which is coming very soon. It will allow you to create AI tasks that can automatically reply to topics and even create new topics to help grow your forum. You'll also be able to index your forum content to provide richer context and train the AI, enabling it to generate replies and topics that are truly relevant to your forum’s niche and content.

Exciting. Will it support ChatGpt assistants?

Dear @marsm

As Robert has already mentioned, the wpForo 3.0 comes with the AI Assistant Chatbot.

@sofy, sorry, not a chatbot, OpenAI (ChatGPT) have "assistants" on their backend that you can train with info, data, etc. I was wondering if that knowledge could be pulled in when dealing with replies, requests, etc.

@marsm,

wpForo AI is multi-model, so its integration with wpForo allows you to index your forum content and use it as knowledge for AI tasks and requests. This is not a simple ChatGPT integration, wpForo AI uses many LLM models under the hood to handle the entire process and return the best possible results.
