I know there have been threads on this in the past

I'm currently deciding between two membership plugins for my website: Memberpress vs Restrict Content Pro

I've seen different threads on here mentioning the different problems they have when they use it combined with wpforo

Particularly these ones:

https://wpforo.com/community/wpforo-integration/memberpress/#post-34641

https://wpforo.com/community/how-to-and-troubleshooting-2/wpforo-and-restrict-content-pro/#post-21403

I know that Wpforo's priority atm is not on integrations with 3rd party plugins like these

But I would just like to know if anyone's got an up-to-date experience with any of these plugins and have some insight on how well they work?

Or even if anyone uses a different membership plugin, please let me know if it works well / others you'd recommend.

Thanks!

Am looking at Woocommerce Subscriptions + Membership combination (wpForo has an integration solution for it) but its on the pricey side, and seems like it lacks quite a few basic functionalities when I look at the reviews.

@zeeshan333,

Please let us know what basic functionalities you mean.

It seems like you're unable to restrict a parent page and then consequently all it's child pages. For posts, there seems to be some inheritency based on categories and tags, but for pages there doesn't seem to be any

@zeeshan333 ,

This is not related to the forum, this is only related to Blog Posts and Blog Categories.

The forum-topic restriction is inherited well. Restricting a forum will prevent non-members from seeing any of the forum’s topics. So you'll not need to restrict each topic individually. But the forum restriction is individual. You should restrict each forum individually.

Sorry if you got the wrong idea, I'm not criticising the wpforo forum plugin, I just created this thread to get an idea of what other users have done in terms of memberships

The above reply was in regards to the WooCommerce membership plugin
