Hi, can someone let me know if there is a 'paid' version for wpForo?

I'm not so comfortable taking the free deal because I've known of other developers starting out free - only to change their mind down the line and make everyone start to pay subscription fees, to the point where any former plugins/updates were made void unless a premium package was bought...

Hence why I'm not comfortable taking for free. BUT... I do believe that if developers are doing all of this fine work they deserve to be paid. So I was wondering if there is any premium version for wpForo?

I just want my forum to be safe for years to come... hope you understand. I appreciate any help with this.

There is no Pro/Paid version of wpForo. Just some paid plugins for people that need them.

There is nothing hidden in this, wpForo plugin is completely free.

If you want to support the development just buy a plugin that you may need.

Hi @aaw,

wpForo is a free WordPress plugin, it doesn't have Pro version and it'll always be free. Here you can see the wpForo plugin without any customizations and add-ons: https://wpforo.com/community/

We also develop paid addons (separate plugins) for wpForo, they add some extra functions and features to your forum.

Check out the paid addons here: https://gvectors.com/product-category/wpforo/

Indeed... gratitude doesn't cost a penny 😉 Thank you Sofy. I'm impressed by the speedy response here (had two so far).

I haven't yet downloaded the wpForo plugin yet - was just doing a little research on embed-able  forums first before I choose one to go with.

Can you tell me what year wpForo was created?

@aaw,

The forum development was started in 2013 and we were using it for our support community. The Beta-1 version was released on June 13, 2016. The wpForo 1.0.0 version was ready on the 6th of September in 2016.

More info in wpForo Announcements forum:

https://wpforo.com/community/wpforo-announcements/paged/3/

I'd also suggest you check the reviews of the plugin. It'll help you to understand whether to use wpForo or not:

Definitely check out the paid plug ins mate, they take the forum to the next level, worth every penny 🙂 I bought them all for about $120 I can't remember exactly.

Runs really good, and if there are issues, the support here is great.
