I log onto wpForo.com almost every day. Up to a week ago using Recaptcha was okay.
For the past week, though, attempting to log on has become a true pain in the behind. No matter how many "traffic light" or "crosswalks" I tick off, Google Recaptcha won't let me log on unless I spent an average of 5 minutes ticking boxes.
All I'm trying to do is log onto this website and it's becoming really frustrating.
Is there something you guys can do?
Thanks
Hi @fawp,
It belongs to Google and it's loaded from Google Server to your forum. Google decides how many questions should ask you. And this is individual, it based on your browser, IP address, your behavior, etc... wpForo and nobody else cannot affect reCAPTCHA behavior, there is not any configuration or option to say reCAPYCHA don't ask questions or ask it less.
In other words, the reCAPTCHA is a totally standalone system, and it works different for each visitor, so if I go to your website, in 99% it'll not ask even one image question, so it has some problem especially with your browser and IP Address if it asks many questions. Again, wpForo has not any relations to reCAPTCHA working functions and the way it works for you is not general, it only works that way for you.
Thanks Alvina, I'll see if with a different browser things improve.
I'm also having the very same issue, as @fawp logging here. But i have no issues in other systems and mine also.
And i think when selecting your reCaptcha keys at Google, you select the level of difficulty.

Interesting, I have not used anything like Recaptcha yet, so I did not know that.
It's frustrating - I have seen other wpForo instances around - they use simple math challenges. They don't seem to have spam issues either.
