@alexwellsmba ,

wpForo and WordPress stores data in different tables, so there is no way to get search result together. I'm sorry, but this has been removed from our to-do list.

Which part is the impossible part? In Wordpress is it impossible to make a field that runs 2 queries and combines 2 partial views, 1 for blog posts and 1 for forum posts? Or is it impossible for the wpforo plugin to do that?

@alexwellsmba,

wpForo stores posts in wp_wpforo_posts table and the search logic is based on Full Text MySQL logic. But the WordPress posts are stored in wp_posts table and the search logic is based on LIKE logic. So we cannot mix them. Also, we work to add indexes to posts and topics to make forum search more intuitive, this will only work for forum posts so the indexing data will not find WordPress posts.

In any case we'll add hooks to let you add results from other queries to wpForo search result, so you'll be able to customize the search query and get mixed data as you want.
