Hello, I'm a happy user of WPForo, amazing job!

The only issue I'm struggling with is the role/secondary usergroups thing. Not easy to handle. One thing I miss so much is to be able to add/delete Secondary Usergoup without going to Dashboard > Users > Edit User. If you have some multi-role system, you don't want to edit that page because once you save changes all roles desappears but the one is showing in Dashboard > Users > Edit User.

Lets say we have a user with four roles:

Click on Edit User: this page shows ONE ROLE.

But you scroll down to "Forum Profile Fields - WpForo" because you want to add/delete Secondary Usergroup to this user. Then you click the button "Update User" and here you are: your FOUR role user becomes a ONE role user.

I figured out how to change Secondary Usergroup through SQL, its quite easy but I do think that this plugin should bring us the possibility to modifty every WpForo data inside the plugin itself.

Thanks for your time!

here you are: your FOUR role user becomes a ONE role user.

You mean` Your User had four WordPress User Roles after selecting secondary Forum Usergroup and updating the profile the User's four WordPress User Roles become one WordPress User Role?

Did I Understand you right?

@julioguitar,

What's the plugin name you are using for that?

@chris Many plugins do this. One of them is Restrict Content Pro, with this plugin I can add a new User Role to a specific membership: User gets Course I -> Restrict Content Pro add "Course_I" role,  Course II -> "Course_II". So at the end this user would have two User Roles: Course_I, Course_II.

The problem with WpForo is that only detects one User Role, so I add manually Secondary Usergroups. That's the reason I don't want (and no one that would work with multiple User Roles) to Update User through Dashboard > Users > Edit User.

@julioguitar,

You need to contact the Plugin Support team, for that issue, the reason is that wpForo can not remove WordPress Multi Roles. Try these step to be sure that wpForo is not the problem maker` Deactivate wpForo and add WordPress User Roles to the User, Edit the User and Update the profile if the result will be the same that will mean that wpForo is not the problem maker.

More Info: wpForo can synchronize with one WordPress User Role, wpForo doesn't have the function to synchronize with several WordPress User Roles which have been created with other plugin,

If the Role-Usergroup Synchronization option is disabled From Dashboard > Forums > Settings > Feature Tab, wpForo uses own User groups for the forum.
