@anonymous20,

It's in our to-do list, we will try to implement this feature in the next release.

"feature" ? Not a feature, it is a bug. Apparently you didn't understand what i mean.

@anonymous20,

We've understood the issue you've mentioned in the post. The issue will be fixed in the next update.

As far as I remember I've already told about this. Please don't worry about this, it'll be fixed for sure.

So when can we expect the next update?

I don't think you can tell users to not worry without at least giving some indication of when the issue may be resolved and the manner in which it will be done (ie what @Anonymous20 asked below).

The new version will be released in January for sure. But we cannot provide any real date of the new update yet.

I'm not expecting an exact date because I know full well that when it comes to software development, the plan and actuals don't often match 🤣

I think post people are just after indicative timescales so that they can plan accordingly.

So you are saying sometime in the next 25 days? I'll set my own expectations as before the end of February because things can go wrong lol.

With regards to what @anonymous20 asked, will the fix resolve the issue in existing posts or just prevent future occurrences?

On a separate note, do you have a change log of sorts which could give users a rough idea of what the next version contains?

Also, do you guys do any beta testing with end users or is that all done internally?

yes, I'll be fixed in the upcoming version.

The changes will be described in the wpForo Announcements forum once the new version released.

The wpForo developers and wpForo testing and support team will test the version for sure.

Haha, I wasn't asking if it was being tested because it obviously would be... was asking if you opened up testing to end users at all, because I for one wouldn't mind helping 🙂

With regards to the changes, for you to be releasing it by the end of this month, the scope would usually have been finalised quite some time ago. Why not share some of those items as a "teaser" / "look at what we've been working on and what you can look forward to" type thing.

The thing is people is editing their posts, the attachment icon is gone after editing, and i'm not sure if the "fix" will bring back the icon for old edited posts.

This is solved in 1.7 for NEW edits. For old edits the icon is gone forever, even a simple edit and save again doesn't bring this icon back.

Not good.

Do you mean this icon? Can you edit those posts, click on the {;} button and leave a screenshot here? i need to see what's wrong with the HTML.
