Hi, everyone, I was trying to figure out how to make a link preview whenever you share a wordpress link with someone. So, I just downloaded the W3 Cache plugin, and didn't see the warning before clicking empty cache:
"wpForo and «W3 Total Cache» conflict - Action Required!
Please exclude the forum page from your cache plugin! wpForo has a built-in cache system. It does dynamic cache of all forum pages, which will be affected by your cache plugin and the forum data will not be updated on the front-end. The user login and logout actions will also be corrupted."
I checked my website and posting seems to work fine, and when I change the phrases it changed it correctly. Do I need to worry about this or should I reinstall/reset wpforo?
W3TC is an open invitation for trouble. Not to wpForo only but for any Wordpress site.
Still, if you want to use it, EXCLUDE wpForo page(s). Exclude caching and ANY optimization from wpForo.
"seems to work fine" doesn't mean anything, i'm afraid.
If you need a Page Caching plugin, i would suggest WP Super Cache or Fastest Cache (still you need to exclude wpForo).
