Hi, I got the following message from Google this morning:-

Search Console has identified that your site is affected by 2 Discussion forum structured data issue(s). The following issues were found on your site.

Top non-critical issues

Missing field 'url' (in 'comment.author')

Missing field 'name' (in 'comment.author')

I noticed you mention something similar in the 2.4.4 update notes but not exactly what I have here. Is the solution the same, namely deactivate WPForo plugin, delete plugin and reinstall?

My bottom is biting chunks out of the chair in anticipation of that task. 😩

I've not done such a drastic action before and I'm really nervous it will kill my forum. So to be sure, deactivate plugin, delete plugin, download wpforo and install it again? This will leave all data and settings intact?

Hi @cmw14 ,

Nothing will kill your forum. On every update Wordpress deactivates your forum, then deletes it, then installs the new version. So do the same as update. Deactivate > Delete > Search > Install again. Then delete all caches.

So you're saying the solution is to delete the forum completely and install it again?

You can also wait for 2 days for the next version release.

@robert I did as instructed and it all worked well but I have no clue if it solved the problem. Not sure how to check tbh. Thanks.

@danniee You can make a check in your Google Search Console again. I did all what is described here (deleted Forum, reinstall, delete cache) and Google still says there is the same problem on my site.
