Is it possible to have incorporate some sort of maths keyboard into the visual/text editor for wpforo?

E.g something like this plugin https://wordpress.org/plugins/equation-editor/ incorporated into the wpforo keyboard

I run a maths and science forum so something like this would be really useful

If not, would the gvectors support consider a paid solution for something like this?

Hi @zeeshan333

I've just asked our developers about it and currently, I'm waiting for the response from them. I'll update the topic asap.

Hi @zeeshan333,

wpForo plugin has a built-in do shortcodes in the post content, just navigate to Dashboard > Forums > Settings > Features Tab, and set the "yes" value for the "Enable WordPress Shortcodes in Post Content" option. We've checked the following two plugins, they work fine with wpForo.

You can use one of those with wpForo:
1. Enable Latex: https://wordpress.org/plugins/enable-latex/
Here is an example that you can add in the post once you enable the option to make sure it works fine:

[latex]e^{\i \pi} + 1 = 0[/latex]

2. WP LaTeX: https://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-latex/
Here is an example that you can add in the post once you enable the option to make sure it works fine:

[latex size=0 color=000000 background=ffffff]\displaystyle f_{rec} = \frac{c+v_{mobile}}{c} f_{em}[/latex]

We've just found those as examples. If you have the favorite plugin and cannot integrate it with wpForo, try to enable the option mentioned below and put the plugin shortcode (if it works via shortcode) in the post content. It should work fine.

In the case of the Equation Editor plugin, it has some popup window that may be blocked by Ads blocker extension or may have some conflict with other browser extensions. So we recommend you to contact us via sales[at]gvectors.com email address. The developers can asses the work and create the integration for you.
