Since the update, my forum is not showing the latest post correctly. For example, in one of the categories, it says last post was 2 days ago by user X, but the last post was 40 min ago and in a different thread than what is displayed on the forum front page. It's as if it's stuck. I tried clearing forum cache but it didn't help.

Clicking the link doesn't even direct me to the latest post in that thread.

Tested that and there is no such issue.

Probably you have some caching and caching is a no-go for wpForo.

@dimalifragis never once had an issue before with the very same setup.

@danniee What do you mean? Are you using a caching plugin?

@dimalifragis of course, like nearly all people do. Used wpforo for years with the same setup and never once had this issue before.

Nope, this is against wpForo instructions and (almost) nobody use page caching plugins with wpForo.

There is even a one-time WARNING about this in your wpForo dashboard.

@dimalifragis well, obviously you exclude the forum from caching. And, again, I never had a problem with this so why would I now? And even clearing cache makes no difference, aaaaand it does update but not pointing to the latest post. This has nothing to do with caching.

@danniee,

I'd recommend click the [Reset Forum Statistic] , then [Delete All Caches]  buttons in wpForo > Overview admin page.

@robert do you mean "Update forum statistics"? Tried this and it didn't work. Plus other categories are properly updated while some are not.

@robert There seems to be an issue with the “Simplified Layout” on the latest version. It's also not showing the latest posts on the forum's main page for me. It says the latest posts were like a month ago, when in fact there have been posts just a few minutes ago.

I tried all your suggestions, such as “Resetting Statistics” and cleaning all caches.

@realact

Confirmed, I see the same.

Maybe it's displaying latest topic created on the front page rather than latest reply?

EDIT: hm, no I don't think this is the case. Doesn't make sense.

Edit: when I change to "extended" design all seems fine.

So many other things behave oddly too when I use other views than "Simplified". For example, if I click a thread, it loads fine. Then from breadcrumbs, I click main forum and it loads quickly. But if I click the category, it loads slowly as h**l. Every single time. I find similar things with other designs, too. It's unacceptably slow. Takes like 20 seconds to load. But rest of browsing is fine.
