If I set that option (as described) everything works just fine, but I lose the ability to use my preferred theme. I do have the forum set that way (refer to the image) for now because I would like to start publicizing its existence in my neighborhood. If I disable it, no matter what theme I use, every WPforo menu selection (like register) pops up with a "page not found" error. Interestingly, I have this exact same setup on a different server, and WPForo works just fine with that feature disabled, allowing me to use my preferred theme.
