I also just noticed that a post on WPFORO also makes my pages cached by WP ROCKET disappear. So now I understand that using WPFORO poses a Problem with WPROCKET, because any use of WPFORO instantly purges WP ROCKET's cache while I have indicated 24 hours of cache.

I deeply need help...

@plop6901,

You need to exclude wpForo from wp Rocket. wpForo has its own cache system. And wpForo purges only Forum Page cache(where wpForo [wpforo] shortcode is) and only that page.

@chris thx for your help.

unfortunately, it is already done and it does not matter. Any action on wpforo purges the cache of WPROCKET

@plop6901

use both with and without (.*)/
only with (.*)/ seems not to work correctly with wpForo

Example

/forum/
/forum/(.*)/

@tutrix thx for your help.

I have already done this too, and same result. Any action on wpforo purges the wp rocket cache

The WP Rocket support confirms me the pb with WPFORO. Here is their answer after testing my site :

"Yoann,

I could see the problem, indeed when a user adds a reply to a forum, the cache is completely emptied.
I escalate this problem to our second level team who will contact you as soon as they have an update to propose.

Cdlt,
Will"

Hello @chris,
Hello to all,

Wprocket support has been working on my site for two days now. They can see that the problem comes from WPFORO. I will try the solution he suggests and I will let you know if it works.

Thank you for your attention

Well, I just tested... it still doesn't work... As soon as a user logs in, the WProcket cache is completely emptied :/

@plop6901 So ask the company behind WProcket to debug this. So simple.

I do see you had similar issues with Varnish.

@dimalifragis Thanks for your answer, but look at the attached file. They are already working on it since two days. I think it's important to tell the WPforo admins about the problem though.

@plop6901 WProcket has a debug. They should find WHO is asking for the total cache to be cleared.

"apparently". No. Their debug should show who is calling their "hook" or whatever.

From their reply, i see a suggestion to disable wpForo caching and let wpRocket to cache wpForo.

This is a wrong reply because wpRocket can't do that. No caching plugin can do that.
