Hi community and wpForo developers,
As a software company, we are using wpForo now for two months to communicate with our beta testing customers (200 people and growing). Reporting bugs, discussing functionalities, releasing new beta versions etc. Together with the advanced attachment addon, wpForo is a great plugin for doing that. Thanks!
To make it even more valuable we use the Q&A layout for prioritizing the development of new features and functionalities. A question, in this case, used as a suggestion. To make this work we removed the option to vote on replays and removed the total number of answers in the list. Of course, this isn't the regular idea behind Q&A but it works surprisingly well. See the attached image.
To make it work even better I would like to suggest a couple of extra functionalities so it becomes a fifth forum layout. (or is this already possible by some CSS styling?)
I'm sure this is a common use case in a time where customer input is strongly welcomed. We would be happy to pay for it as an addon.
Useful extra functionalities would be:
Â
- give a suggested feature a status like: under consideration; planned/working on; implemented
- sorting by a number of votes, date added, status
- remove the possibility to downvote suggestion
Â
What do you think?
Thank you @copilot,
Nice suggestions, please see my answers below:

This is the Topic Prefix feature we're going to add very soon. This is on top of our to-do list.
sorting by a number of votes, date added, status
Is this answers sorting options in? Or is this a question sorting options? At the moment answers can be sorted by votes and dates.
remove the possibility to downvote suggestion
Yes, this is a good idea. We'll take this under consideration for sure.
I mean a question sorting option indeed. So sorting the list of questions in the forum/ subforum.
For us it would work if it works similar to the answer sorting option -> "most votes" , " oldest" , "newest"
Ok
Oh and by the way: the "Add a comment" window works differently than the normal one. No font design functionality. And it handles enters as brakes instead of paragraphs. Is this on purpose or a bug?
It's a displaying issue. We set small line-height for comments. You can manage it using some CSS code.

I was wondering if you managed to implement the Topic Prefix feature in the last update? Did not find it in the changelog.
Many thanks!
