All is already optimized in wpForo:
- SEO titles,
- Canonical URLs
- Meta-tags
- Open Graphs
- Headers,
- Accessibility
- Sitemap
So, wpForo is already a good SEO friendly forum solution. You just need to add forum sitemap in your website Google Webmaster tool to make it easy and fast indexing. The forum sitemap URL can be found in Dashboard > Forums > Settings > General Tab

If you know how to do it, add the sitemap in the robots.txt file too
