Users cannot change avatar once they pick it once.. it just reverts back to the old one.

I see you've changed your avatar. So it works. Please provide with more data. An exact example.
The timeout error is server/hosting error. It doesn't have any relation to wpForo. Make sure you're not uploading a big image or it doesn't take more than 30 sec. Hello, I am experiencing the same issue regarding profile picture only being able to change once. First time setting the profile picture everything went fine. Second time around it seems as if the new picture doesn't load everywhere and instead the first one used (old) is displayed.
Below are some screenshots all taken on the same website with the same user at the exact time of new picture was uploaded.

The avatar can be changed once, but then it is locked and it doesn't change when you try to upload a new image....All users on my forum are having this issue.
As far as the error, I do not have anything on my site except for the forum.. no large pictures.
