I hope I'm in the correct forum for this question.

I run a website hosted at bluehost.com.  The CMS is WordPress 5.1.1.  Recently I installed the wpForo plugin to create a forum for our members.

Wpforo works well and we like it very much.  The members have started using it because it is integrated into the website.  Users registered on the main website get access to the forum.

Unfortunately, we recently discovered that the 'Lost your password?' link is not working.  When a user clicks on the link they are not sent to the reset password dialog.

Whilst troubleshooting I deactivated wpForo and the problem disappeared.  Reactivating wpForo caused the problem again.

I've done some research on the web but cannot find anything relevant to our problem.  There are some posts relative to Woocommerce causing a similar problem with WordPress and wpForo but we do not use Woocommerce.

I have also tried setting the password reset URL to 'forgot-password' as suggested in one of the posts.  This did not seem to have any effect either.

Any help would be appreciated.  Thank you.

Carmine

Hi @carmine,

Please navigate to Dashboard > Forum > Settings > Features admin page make sure the "Replace Reset Password Page URL to Forum Reset Password Page URL" option is disabled.

Unfortunately, we recently discovered that the 'Lost your password?' link is not working.  When a user clicks on the link they are not sent to the reset password dialog.

Please let us know where does the link go when the users click on the link?

I followed your procedure and that corrected the problem.  We are back to the WordPress password reset routing.  I discovered this last night while digging in the forums and got it corrected last night.  It was late and I didn't get to post the solution here.  Somehow I missed that in the settings even though I thought I checked all of them.

When it was not working properly the click on "Lost your password" simply returned to the login screen.  Nothing else ever showed up.  Our site is members only so you always get the login screen.  I could not tell where the mistake was trying to go.

Thank you.
