This is a phrase translation issue in old wpForo versions. Are you sure you use the latest version?
If so, please navigate to Dashboard > Forums > Phrases admin page and search for {number} word. Do you see these values?

Another question: in the message editor, the first cell with the font size is slightly shifted - So it should be? Forum without widgets, full screen.
