I think this is because of some customization you have done in your forum. Can you duplicate your forum using the Duplicator plugin in some subdirecoty or subdomain and let us check it?
BTW, make sure you don't use old wpForo addons, all old addons should be updated.
And makes sure you've clicked this button right after the wpForo update:
There are no customizations or addons on this board. One other problem, one cannot edit the page where the forum shortcode is - this throws many JS errors, see below. No such problems on 1.7.7

These error says the jQuery is not defined. It seems something is wrong with your theme header or footer template files. The jQuery is not loaded, or it's loaded twice. It's better to have the duplicated website or to see the real website and check the HTML. It seems the update reset some cache and old problems are arisen. This is not a general issue, this is a site specific issue, so we need to see the real page.
Mot sure if it helps but I'm running GeneratePress Pro theme and updated top wpforo 1.8.0 and it went smoothly. That would suggest nothing much wrong with theme compatability
Only problem I'm left with is polls is not working, it won't update to 1.0.6. That's nothing to do with this site and Gvectors are looking into it. All other wpforo add-ons updated OK and appear to be working.
Ok, then deactivate the Polls addon, then delete it, then go to your account page at: https://gvectors.com/my-account/ , download the latest version, and install it in Dashboard > Plugins admin page.
Yep did that and it worked.
