 I think you have a copy of topic/post template file in active theme folder. You don't use latest wpForo template files. This option has been added with 1.4.1 version, so you should update it.

Yes you were right for some reason i did not read release notes to update those files.

@Robert, the above works here but we've found if a seasoned (> 5 posts) user has any smilies in their previous posts then will trigger Awaiting Moderation for a post on my site. This bug was introduced with the wpforo 1.3.1->1.4.0 upgrade and downgrading to 1.3.1 has not helped.  I discussed it with you in the 1.4.0 thread.

I'd appreciate a hand sorting this out because we've not found the cause of this. It's now become an admin headache. I wish to engage more support to solve this problem on this forum platform. Thank you.

I am having issues with the rss feed on posts by individual users. The complaint I received from one user was "I was able to get the main 2 feeds, but the feed from a User in the Trader section did not." Is there a setting I wasn't aware of when I made the original forums?

Also, I am having a lot of issues with moderation. I have tried various settings and still all posts require moderation and approval before posting. I do not want to have to approve anything at this time. I turned off spam control completely and everything still needs to be approved.

I'm sorry but I can't follow to this issue and help you. Please open a new topic and provide information/details as much as possible. This is not right please for specific issue long discussion.

Please navigate to Dashboard > Forums > Usergroups admin page, edit the Registered Usergroup and all other Usergroups for non-admins and make sure "Can pass moderation" permission is enabled/checked:

For the "can pass moderation" option, will that allow people in that usergroup the ability to delete/edit//unapprove other user posts by other members? This is something I don't want regular users doing.

The title says "Can pass moderation". it means user post must not be manually approved by administrators. If this is disabled you should approve all posts manually. If dis is enabled posts will be automatically approved after spam control. This doesn't have any relation to post delete/edit/unapprove processes. This doesn't grant other users' posts managing permissions.
