I would like to be able to use the forum within pages I design with Pro, images etc
I went with the Pro theme because of it's powerful page editor but the only I can use the forum is on an empty page.
I hope there's an answer for my problem because I need to have my site up and looking good.

I'm sorry but we're not failiar with the page builder functions of Themeco Pro Theme . wpForo has nothing extra in its shortcode. It's very simple. You should contact to Themeco Pro Theme support and let them check why a simple shortcode doesn't work on their page builder. We have no chance to investigate such Pro themes page builders. They'll better and faster find the conflict point. Once you got more technical information about this issue we'll help to fix that.
