That worked thanks, I just added it underneath the old code, do I need to remove any or all of of the old code?
@media screen and (max-width: 620px){#wpforo #wpforo-wrap #wpforo-menu .wpf-menu, #wpforo #wpforo-wrap #wpforo-menu #wpf-menu {display:flex;}#wpforo #wpforo-wrap #wpforo-menu .wpf-res-menu {display: none !important;}#wpforo #wpforo-wrap #wpforo-menu .wpf-menu, #wpforo #wpforo-wrap #wpforo-menu #wpf-menu {position: static; text-align: center;} |

@jwhit16
Use the CSS code below:
@media screen and (max-width: 620px){ #wpforo #wpforo-wrap #wpforo-menu .wpf-menu, #wpforo #wpforo-wrap #wpforo-menu #wpf-menu { display:flex; } #wpforo #wpforo-wrap #wpforo-menu .wpf-res-menu { display: none !important; } #wpforo #wpforo-wrap #wpforo-menu .wpf-menu, #wpforo #wpforo-wrap #wpforo-menu #wpf-menu { position: static; }}
The CSS code should be added in the "Custom CSS code" textarea, located in the Dashboard > Forums > Settings > Style Tab.
Also, please try on incognito mode if you're checking on mobile devices. Because mobile browsers have a hard cache, you'll not be able to see the change immediately. |

Hi @maxelio42. I checked out your website. Currently, what shows are:
On MESSAGES: it links to:
Remove the #
Messages Recent
Messages non lus
MON COMPTE
Remove the #
The way you customized your Forum menu is what's causing the error. Not wpForo and not your WP theme.
To fix this: Go to WP Dashboard > Appearance > menu > wpForo Navigation , and make sure the link goes to "https://les-castors.fr/community/recent/" and NOT "https://les-castors.fr/community/#" - The hashtag "#" is what's causing the drop down menu or sub-items to not appear on the mobile version.
(See attached screenshot).
Once you save the correct menu, press Control F5 on your front end, and on your Mobile Device, view it on an incognito window (since Mobile devices have hard caches, you might not see the changes right away, but you would see the recent changes in a different mobile browser or incognito window).
Then if my suggestion works, please mark this issue as "solved" so that the Support Team can close the topic. (I'm just a member here who try to help if I can).

Hi @neilrichards,
Thank you for using wpForo and for contacting us.
The wpForo menu is a regular WordPress menu. In Dashboard > Appearance > menu admin page, wpForo creates new navigation menu called βwpForo Navigation (wpForo menu)β and attaches this menu to wpForo menu location. So please make sure all you've configured all menu items correctly.

Here is what's happening on my forum.
Background:
New WP install on a top level domain (not on a sub as my test system):
www.mityaalim.org - the 'landing page' is the blog without first static page.
From the blog the users can go into the forum by clicking on "Χ€ΧΧ¨ΧΧ" in the main menu [point 2 β yellow]. There is also the button "Χ¨ΧΧ©Χ" [point 3 β purple] that is "main" as created during the install. Don't ask me how I've changed it to Hebrew, it was late at night.
In addition I've remove the hello world page.
As you can see in the attached screen:
Points 1,2,3 referring to the main menu known as "menu 1" or the primary menu when WP or the theme are freshly installed.
So what is my problem?
When going to the dashboardΓ menu I cannot see any other menu but wpForo navigation menu.
The only way left for me is to add pages (content or links) that are seamlessly added to the nonexistent "menu 1" in the attached screen 2.
The problem is that I have no control of the order of menu items in the hidden main menu.
The second screen shows "contact us" after I've added it as a page.
I can create an admin account for you to check it.
The second screen is of the blog: |

Brilliant way to think outside the box. Thank you!
The only problem with doing it the way you suggested is that I lose the look and layout of the default wpforo menu. I love the colors, search box to the right etc. - I'm not talking about the menu items, but rather the menu look and position.
If I create a new menu and add those menu items, I lose my beloved wpforo menu. The new menu I create will then use the default menu location based on the theme, which by the way I'm using TwentySixteen just to keep things simple. It's "your" menu with all of it's CSS that I want to use throughout the entire site and it's location.
Any more ideas on how to make this happen?
One more thing, a couple days ago I post how awesome and well thought out wpforo was from a programming point of view. This is a perfect example of what I'm talking about. How many different options you gave us. When you guys sat down to design the framework, you looked at things from a site owner's point of view and said "let's do it this way so that if a site owner wanted this, then all he has to do that.." In other words, you didn't tie our hands.
wpfofo has so many different ways to accomplish what it is that we want, but you guys made things so easy. Looking at the list of options like those found on Forums / Settings / Features makes my point. So far, I've only needed to change 4 lines of custom CSS to get the look we wanted. That's freaking amazing from a customizing point of view.
Again - wpforo ROCKS! Let me know if you can think of a way to keep the look and position of default wpforo menu on the entire site. Thanks |

And
(4) I almost have it fixed but now the login screen goes to my WP admin login screen?
Please help
Hi @thecoltster1 . Sometimes, when we change WP themes, the menus get affected. Also conflicting plugins do that.
Items (1) and (2) shows up like that with just the shortcode "" on the wpforo forum page because the forum plugin is deactivated.
You can activate / deactivate plugins by going to
WP Dashboard > Plugins > Activate or Deactivate.
On Item (3), I just checked on my iphone, I see you're using the StoreFront Theme, which is also a mobile theme, I can see your forum. (but only 2 forum menus - I'll try to help with that below) π
On Item (4), try and do this:
1) Go to "Forum Dashboard"2) Then select "Settings"3) Select the "Features" tab. 4) You will see "Show Admin Bar for Members" (This option doesn't affect website admins.)5) Select "NO"6) Scroll at the very bottom and click "Update Options"7) On the Front End of your forum, refresh page or click Control F5.
Since you are using Storefront theme (with WooCommerce plugin), there's a "Shop Login" (WooCommerce automatically puts these with your Top or Main menu) and a "Forum Login" (which is a separate wpForo Navigation menu). But I see your wpForo menu only has two menus:
Recent Posts
Members
I suggest, To add the the wpForo menu links back, try and do the following:
1) Log in as Admin2) Go to WP Dashboard3) Select "Appearance"4) Select "Menus"5) On the "Select a menu to edit" dropdown, select "wpForo Navigation (wpForo menu)", then click the "Select" button6) On the menu Structure area is where you will add the following Custom Links:7) We will add the following menus:
7.1) Forums7.2) Members7.3) Recent Posts7.4) My Profile7.5) > Activity (sub item)7.6) > Account (sub item)7.7) > Subscriptions (sub item)7.8) Register7.9) Login7.10) Logout
So here we go ....
7.1) Forums
Add this code in the "URL":
/%wpforo-home%/
Add this to the "Navigation Label"
Forums
7.2) Members
Add this code in the "URL":
/%wpforo-members%/
Add this to the "Navigation Label"
Members
7.3) Recent Posts
Add this code in the "URL":
/%wpforo-recent%/
Add this to the "Navigation Label"
Recent Posts
7.4) My Profile
Add this code in the "URL":
/%wpforo-profile-home%/
Add this to the "Navigation Label"
My Profile
7.5) > Activity (sub item)
Add this code in the "URL":
/%wpforo-profile-activity%/
Add this to the "Navigation Label"
Activity
7.6) > Account (sub item)
Add this code in the "URL":
/%wpforo-profile-account%/
Add this to the "Navigation Label"
Account
7.7) > Subscriptions (sub item)
Add this code in the "URL":
/%wpforo-profile-subscriptions%/
Add this to the "Navigation Label"
Subscriptions
7.8) Register
Add this code in the "URL":
/%wpforo-register%/
Add this to the "Navigation Label"
Register
7.9) Login
Add this code in the "URL":
/%wpforo-login%/
Add this to the "Navigation Label"
Login
7.10) Logout
Add this code in the "URL":
/%wpforo-logout%/
Add this to the "Navigation Label"
Logout
7.11) Then under the menu Settings, under "Display Location", make sure you check the box "wpForo menu"
7.12) Most importantly, click the SAVE menu button. π
Hope this helps reconstruct your wpForo menu. The word "please" goes a long way. π Good luck and God bless you! π |

Hi @thedrawingboard . You're welcome.
Now I am understanding the query better! (English isn't my primary language, so I translate in my head and figure things out in my native language and then translate it back to English using the written word... π .. sometimes drawings or pictures communicate better).
(1) Yes. The "Blue bar" is a "Forum - Used as a Category", under Forum Options. The instructions I typed above are for regular Forums, or those that are under the Blue Bar.
BUT the above instructions also work for your query.
(2) Here's how to create Forum menu links to a Forum-Category:
1) Go to Forum Dashboard2) Select Forums3) Then, notice the "Eye" icon on the farthest right of the blue bar. Right click on the "Eye" icon, and then "Copy Link Address" and then reuse the steps 1 to 16 above. Same concept. π
Attachment : wpForo_ForumDashboardExtendedLayoutCategoryLinks.jpg
Hope that helps. Good luck and God bless you! π
P.S. Regarding this:
(3) I tried a custom link (like you mentioned in your instructions) to the slug for the main forums, but that didn't work. For example, I tried:
/%wpforo-main-category%/
I don't think the code you tried would work, since a forum can have a gazillion categories, and the menu code won't know where to go, unless you specify the "Forum ID". The codes I suggested on my earlier response are wpForo codes for the default wpForo Forum menu links that I copy pasted from my own wpForo installation (since in the beginning, I also made several mistakes and lost my wpForo menu and I had to reconstruct! LOL! That's why I know now how to fix it.) . π
But if you want a menu link to specific categories, the tip above is what I know how to do and it should work. Hopefully. π |

I upgraded to the latest version of WP-Foro as soon as it was released, but I am just now noticing that the Tools menu appears to be missing.
I was just going to move a topic from one subforum to another - like I've done in the past, but the Tools menu is no longer appearing.
Any ideas what I'm missing?
Is anyone else experiencing a missing Tools menu?
Thanks in advance for any help. |

Hi @maxelio42, I think that right out of the box, the "Drop Down" wpForo menu - "The Profile menu" which has 3 sub-items, when you click it, it goes to the
Level 1 menu - Profile Page , and it has links to:
Sub-item - Account
Sub-item - Activity
Sub-item - Subscription
These sub-items have their separate "tabs", because that will not all fit on the Level 1 menu. π
On Mobile, it should show the Level 1 menus, I think it's how its designed to function in "Mobile View". You can also research menus like "Megamenus" and you can understand then that coding up of menus to function in different sized mobile devices can also get challenging. π
You're welcome, @maxelio42. I checked your site again and noticed the following and have some suggestions.
On your Wordpress menuYou still have 6 Hashtags (#) on your WP Top Level menu. Maybe you can try pointing those TOP level menus to whatever a "Sub-Item" menu under that is.
For Example the Label: "L'ASSOCIATION", you can use the "Qui sommes-nous?" link,
(Use this)
instead of the link right now, which points to just
(Delete this)
Notice the hashtag # at the end?
On your wpForo menu:
You can try my suggestions in the attached picture.
I hope this helps you. Bonne chance! Dieu te bΓ©nisse! π

This problem doesn't have any relation to smarthons. The forum menu is gone.
You've changed the active theme and wpForo menu was disconnected to the menu location. Please navigate in Dashboard to Appearance > menus admin page. Select the wpForo Navigation, then check/enable it for wpForo menu location.

Hello,
Maybe you could tell me a better solution, but i'm trying to mix Ultimate Member plugin with wpForo plugin. I only want one user management, so I want to disable the profile and account pages of wpForo. I know that I'll loose many functionalities, but I'll keep the most important for my purposes.
I've edited the class-template.php file in order to hide and disable the pages I mentioned (account, profile), and the rest (login, register, password reset) I've redirected through the proper option that we have in the plugin adjustment.
I'm sure that with the new update I'll loose the changes, so I want to know if there is any option to avoid loosing changes, could you help me please?
I don't want that Profile or Account pages appears in the submenu when I enter, for example, in suscriptions/activity pages.
the changes I did:
public function init_member_templates(){ WPF()->member_tpls = array( /*'account' => wpftpl('profile-account.php'),*/ 'activity' => wpftpl('profile-activity.php'), 'subscriptions' => wpftpl('profile-subscriptions.php') ); WPF()->member_tpls = apply_filters('wpforo_member_templates_filter', WPF()->member_tpls); /*WPF()->member_tpls['profile'] = wpftpl('profile-home.php');*/ }
and
public function member_menu( $userid, $menu = array() ){ if( empty($menu) ) $menu = array(/*'profile' => 'fas fa-user', 'account' => 'fas fa-cog',*/ 'activity' => 'fas fa-comments', 'subscriptions' => 'fas fa-rss'); $menu = apply_filters('wpforo_member_menu_filter', $menu, $userid); /* if( !($userid == WPF()->current_userid || WPF()->perm->usergroup_can('em')) ) unset($menu['account']); */ if( !($userid == WPF()->current_userid || WPF()->perm->usergroup_can('vpra')) ) unset($menu['activity']); if( !($userid == WPF()->current_userid || WPF()->perm->usergroup_can('vprs')) ) unset($menu['subscriptions']); foreach( $menu as $key => $value ) : ?>
Thank you in advance! |

Hi forumfan,
wpForo Top menu is a simple WordPress menu, please navigate to Dashboard > Appearance > menu admin page and find menu called "wpForo Navigation (wpForo menu)". You can add and remove any item you need. I attached screenshot.
Only wpForo specific menu items have url-shortcodes , here is the list of all menu item url-shortcodes:
/%wpforo-home%/
/%wpforo-members%/
/%wpforo-profile-home%/
/%wpforo-profile-account%/
/%wpforo-profile-activity%/
/%wpforo-profile-subscriptions%/
/%wpforo-register%/

Thank You @tutrix !
That brings me a little further, in detail I still have this problem now (see atached pix)I would like that - like in the normal WP menu - with sub menu entries only the entry belonging to the current page is in the color or evenly with closed menu the main menu.
But with this ruleset it doesn't work:
#wpforo #wpforo-wrap .wpforo-active,#wpforo #wpforo-wrap #wpforo-menu li:hover,#wpforo #wpforo-wrap #wpforo-menu .current-menu-ancestor,#wpforo #wpforo-wrap #wpforo-menu .current-menu-parent,#wpforo #wpforo-wrap #wpforo-menu .current_page_item {
background-color: #f0f0f0!important;
color: #D067A9!important;
}
However, the "basic" problem remains: I can't change the other things like buttons, because the color.css is being processed from somewhere else and not the file I uploaded below the theme folder in wpForo.
