All subscribers may register, view and subscribe to the public TCTN forum. I then manually grant only selected users the possibility to also view and post in the ASE Supervision forum (this part is not visible to regular TCTN forum subscribers).
I then noticed that as a regular test subscriber (without permission to view and post in the ASE Supervision forum), I can still subscribe to ASE Supervision forum topics, which is what I want to avoid.
Is this clearer now? If not, please let me know. Thank you
So the subscribers that I manually assign the Secondary Usergroup "ASE Supervision Group Forum member" to, should be the only ones able to subscribe to topics of that specific forum (including the public TCTN forum topics)
Thank you, I think that`s indeed what I was looking for but could not find...When will the new version be released? Can I in the meantime temporarily disable subscription for all users for all forums? If so, how? Thank you.
The forum access for Registered usergroup had the "Can subscribe" option disabled all the time, so a new question arises, which is: how come a standard registration test user was able to see all the subscription options in their profile? I can see that wpForoSupport is registered as a test user. Could you log in and tell me if you are able to view the subscription option in your profile, and what you see there?
Thank you, yes that is the current issue I would like to resolve.
In terms of forums it is correct that you can only view the TCTN forum (as I do as a test user too), but then you should ONLY be able to subscribe to "Topics and posts Topics — TCTN Forum" and not to any of the others.
How can this be achieved?
