Sorry for my poor English. Maybe others users understanding what I mean and writing on good English.
Double content this is very bad for site SEO. For example read please https://moz.com/learn/seo/duplicate-content

Hi @rexxx,

Sorry for the late response.

Please don't worry about this, there is no problem related to SEO. In the video, you've provided you manually change the URL, so there is no page with such URL, and there is no way that the Google robot's scan it.
So it can happen only if you manually change the URL, and it's not a problem. It's designed to work in this way for the following reason. In case if the topic is moved to another forum, it'll be displayed without any issues.

@alvina Thanks for the answer. I agree with you. If no one will manually change the url. But competitors can use it. For example, every day they can duplicate pages and submit them to the google index. In order for google to find the page and index, just make a post on twitter. Sorry, but this is a critical issue. If you do not want to fix this, please let me know.

@alvina I'm also concerned about this issue; we found about it in our website, precisely, because our SEO expert discovered that Google has indexed urls with incorrect forum slugs, same as @Melafon reported.

I understand your explanation that it works this way by design, and it's not a bug, but this design can be a serious SEO issue, specially for very big forums with thousands of topics and tens of forums (my case). If you could please confirm, that wpForo is not interested in changing it (or create a "strict mode" option that allows that inexistent forum slugs generate a 404 response), please make us know so we can code a workaround for our specific case.

Thank you!

@rexxx,

What is a url?  https://www.russpuss.ru/postid/3722/

This is the short URL.

Since wpFor 1.7.1 version added the Short and Full URL.

Please check the changelog here: https://wpforo.com/community/wpforo-announcements/wpforo-1-7-1-is-released/
