I've installed and given wpForo a good work out but before I deploy it for a specific project I need to be able for it to do 3 things...

  1. set an automated time limit on the 'life' of a forum - e.g. this forum will last x weeks, after that it's read only. Set at the time the forum is kicked off.
  2. set a limit on the number of posts any user can make inside the forum - e.g. only x posts allowed per user
  3. set a limit to the length of a post e.g. 250 words or less e.g. no post unless it meets the limit

If wpForo can do these things I'd appreciate any comments on exactly how ...

  1. 'out of the box' (how?) or
  2. with an 'add-on' (which one?) or
  3. (God forbid!) custom code...

Many thanks in advance. I just need some pointers and I'll can do the heavy lifting... 😎

@locutus,

I'm really sorry, but the wpForo does not have built-in features to set an automated time limit on the life of a forum, limit the number of posts per user in a forum, or limit the length of a post. Regarding limiting posts per user, there is no native option to restrict how many posts a user can make in a given time period. Similarly, there is no feature to limit the length of posts. For such customizations, wpForo suggests using their paid customization services or hiring developers to create these features for you. You can find more details about customization services here: https://wpforo.com/pro-support/#customization
