I notice on your support site, when I land here, all the forums are visible. Is this a setting? Or is this left over from my having perhaps viewed them earlier and left them in a "twirled down" exposed state?

If it's a setting, where is it, please?

The setting to keep it opened is located in Dashboard > Forums > Settings > Forums admin page. Please read the documentation: https://wpforo.com/docs/root/categories-and-forums/forum-layouts/threaded-layout/#options-to-manage-forums-and-thread-list-on-forum-home
