I suspect it's a browser cache issue of some sort.

It's odd. In private mode in my browser with another user, it all works fine. But in regular mode I have this issue. I just tried flushing cache and files in Firefox but it did not help.

@danniee,

ok, then it's a cache issue. Cache works in three places hosting, WordPress, your browser. So when you delete cache it's deleted in one or two of theme but one cache still exists. So this is a cache conflict, and it's probably a WordPress database or browser cache issue.

In any case I'm right, this is a site specific issue, there is no such bug in wpForo.

@robert yeah, if it's important for you to be right, congratulations. Still, you could argue wpforo is not optimally designed if it's having these constant issues with cache. So many threads about it. If wpdiscuz likes work fine, why shouldn't wpforo. It's just weird.

@danniee There are NO constant issues with any caching and wpForo.

All topics are from people that do not exclude wpForo from their caching.

@dimalifragis well, it doesn't have to be a caching issue. We have not confirmed that.

Wish you would work to help solve the problem instead of making this a competition.

I'd love to know WHICH cache is causing this. Same issue in both Firefox AND Chrome. Deactivating WP Rocket, bypassing Cloudflare, and deactivating Redis, none of it helped. Which cache is left?

Nope, tested some more. Acting weird even in private mode. Doesn't help to deactivate all caching. Definitely some sort of bug.

In private mode, I click "like", and it likes. I remove my like and it says "X liked and reacted" which is just weird. I click like again and it only says "You liked" without mention of other who have liked. It only shows when I refresh the page.

If it's claimed to be a cache issue, I wonder which cache is in play since I deactivated forum cache, tried deactivating Redis and WP Foro and bypassing CF. No other cache.

@danniee There is no such bug, still posting your url could help.

Because you seem to have every caching function installed, plugin, CF, Redis. Who knows what could be wrong.

If you can't post your url, do what Robert wrote, install a fresh WP in a staging server and test.

@dimalifragis like I said, I have deactivated all of them, so that is not the issue. Even in private mode in both Firefox and Chrome it is behaving strangely. I don't even have forum cache enabled.

@dimalifragis so, what is your point? A cache plugin does not cache when it is disabled. Besides, using Redis, WP Rocket and CF is an extremely common combo. Also, I am not new to wpforo. Did not have these issues before the big update.
