Hi!

We have a user base based on full names, i.e. Firstname Lastname.

We register our users solely by email using UltimateMember, so that the username is also the email, i.e. firstname.lastname@companydomain.com

When using wpforo however, it uses the mention-name when replying to a comment.

For our purposes, the mention name is a rather strange combination, and looks like this;

@firstname-lastnamecompanydomain-com

Which isn't the most obvious and eye-candy like.

My question is; is it possible to replace this @mention-name to @Firstname, @Firstname Lastname or something more intuitive?

Hi @bjornarfjelldal,

My question is; is it possible to replace this @mention-name to @Firstname@Firstname Lastname or something more intuitive?

I'm really sorry, but there is no way to change the mention name to @Firstname. Please note that there can be many users with the same name, in this case, it'll be not possible to detect whom it was mentioned.

The  mention Nicename can be changed in Forum > My Profile > Account front-end page. In this case I'd suggest you, write some admin note and ask the users to change the mention name.

More info for wpForo admin note feature can be found here:
