When a user uses the lost password link the email that is sent is generated at the bottom of this page in wpforo settings: wp-admin/admin.php?page=wpforo-settings&tab=emails.
The email received is in plain text and none of the [shortcodes] render to html links as required. it is therefore impossible for the user to follow the link to reset their password. Other emails (subscribe to topic for example) work correctly.
The from email address is wordpress@mydomain.com despite the fact that this email address appears nowhere in my wordpress installation (yes, I have searched the db using myphp).
Is there any way of turning off this email in wpforo so the system uses the default wordpress email?
Thanks
Please update to just released 1.4.1 version. Then navigate to Dashboard > Forums > Settings > Features admin page and disable "Replace WP Reset Password URL to Forum reset password page" option.
I have just come back to this project after a few weeks and something has changed. Previously, the lost password link went to the password reset page in wpforo and now it goes to the default wordpress password reset page.
Similarly, a new user registration is forwarded to the wordpress password page.
Has something changed in version 1.4.2 that may be causing this?
Thanks
Yes, we've disabled wpForo reset password page. It's under mentioning. We'll enable it in near future releases. The new user registration link is the same password reset page link.
We'll try to add it in next v1.4.3 version in a few days.
